REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION (2008 Sequoia) .

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 2UZ-FE LUBRICATION: OIL AND OIL FILTER: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 2UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 2UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

5. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 2UZ-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: DRIVE BELT: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

6. DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY 2UZ-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: TIMING BELT: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

7. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the generator assembly connector.

(b) Remove the terminal cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.

(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness bracket from the generator assembly.

(d) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and generator assembly.
